Howe insists he never discussed managing the Lions with the FA, praises Tuchel as a coach with great potential
Eddie Howe, Newcastle manager, has revealed that he has been contacted by the Football Association (FA) as one of the options to replace Gareth Southgate as the new manager of the Three Lions, before the FA eventually appointed Thomas Tuchel to take on the role. He confirmed that he has not spoken to or been contacted by the FA in any way.

FA chief executive Mark Bullingham has previously told the โปรโมชั่น ufabet media that the FA has interviewed around 10 managers. Including English managers. Howe is one of three English coaches currently working in the Premier League. Leading to speculation that he could be one of the options.
Asked if this bothered him, Howe said the FA had to do the right thing for themselves, and only they knew what the processes were and what the decisions were. He said he would not sit and analyse them because he wanted to focus on Newcastle, trying to win games, which is not easy even when he is 100 per cent focused. So he would continue to work in this way. If your standards drop, the job becomes much harder. He would not allow that to happen.
As for Tuchel being appointed as the new manager of the Three Lions, Howe said that he had the opportunity to watch him work at Chelsea when he was unemployed for a while. He is a great person and a great coach. I watched him work for two days, it was wonderful. *I wish him the best in his new job. I believe that this is a good choice and I hope he can lead England to win many trophies. If I can choose, I would like to see the FA hire an English coach more. But if you are going to appoint a foreign manager, you have to choose the best person. Tuchel is the answer.
